I don’t know about you, but I’ve been working completely online since March. This includes my internship as well as my final semester of college that I’m wrapping up this fall. While most days call for more simple looks with minimal effort, there are a few occasions when I think putting on some makeup will make you feel more confident in yourself. For me, these days are when I have presentations. Keep in mind that it’s harder for the lighting to pick up your makeup through online video calls versus in-person meetings, so I think it’s better to go for products with more color pay off and pigmentation because of this. Here are some of my favorites that I’ve been loving and using for the past few months:
I love using this bronzer to give a warm, healthy glow to my face. It adds just the right amount of definition, and the Golden Bronze color is the perfect shade for my skin tone where it’s not too warm that it looks orange and it’s not too neutral that it washes me out. This is a clean, talc-free, moisturizing bronzer with shea butter and meadowfoam oil, so it blends really nicely into the skin and doesn’t look patchy at all. Apply a bit of this to your temples and cheekbones, and you’re good to go!
Color and Light Palette – Cream: Tropic Equinox High Intensity and 8th Muse High Intensity
If you prefer a cream bronzer, I recommend looking into this Color and Light Palette Cream Duo in Tropic Equinox High Intensity. It’s technically a blush and highlighter, but it works well as a cream bronzer and highlighter for my skin tone. Formulated with apricot kernel seed oil, rosehip seed oil, and jojoba seed oil, this is extremely blendable and glides onto your skin like butter. It has a wonderfully creamy texture and stays put all day long.
For blush, I absolutely adore this Color and Light Palette Cream Duo in 8th Muse High Intensity. I opted for the high-intensity version of this blush to ensure that the color will appear on camera, and it definitely does! It also lasts all day even though blush is generally the first part of your makeup to come off, so I appreciate that it’s incredibly durable and long-lasting as well.
Even on simple days, I like to pop on a bit of concealer. This is a medium coverage, very creamy concealer, eye cream, and spot treatment – all in one! This is my favorite concealer to use under my eyes because of how well it brightens. It’s formulated with caffeine, provitamin B5, peptides, and hyaluronic acid; these are ingredients you would typically see in a skincare product, so the fact that they’re built into this concealer make it a staple for me. I love simplifying my routine wherever I can, and I really like how well this works.
