When I was planning my wedding, I breathed a sigh of relief after I’d gotten all of the big things out of the way. I had hired a wedding photographer/videographer, booked my ceremony and reception venues, and ordered my dress. Then I realized, I still have a lot more to plan – including figuring out which makeup products I was going to use for my big day!
On your wedding day, you ideally want to use makeup products that you already own or have previously owned and worn so that you know how they wear on your skin throughout the day. Your wedding is not the time to experiment with completely new products that could potentially break you out into a rash! That being said, some ladies might not own a lot of makeup or don’t wear makeup often enough to know what works well for them, and so they need to buy new products. 7. Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Light Wand – Peachgasm
Charlotte Tilbury’s beauty light wands have gone viral this year, with good reason. The Peachgasm shade perfectly complements medium skin tones, and it pairs really well with the Nudestix shades above.
8. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand
After trying this, I don’t think I’m ever going to use a different cream contour again. It’s that good! Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Contour Wand blends like a dream and created the most sculpted, yet natural contour. It gave my cheekbones stunning definition that was very prominent in my photos, and it looked so natural! A little also goes a very long way with this product, so this tube will last you a while.
9. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Matte Bronzer – Medium
As the name suggests, this bronzer truly gives you an airbrushed finish. It’s also fantastic for layering on top of wherever you applied your cream contour to ensure that it lasts all day.
10. L’Oreal Lash Paradise – Waterproof
This drugstore mascara from L’Oreal is my tried and true favorite. In my opinion, this beats almost all of the high-end ones on the market. Its buildable formula doesn’t clump, smudge, or run, and it separates your lashes and holds a curl like a dream. It’s truly the perfect mascara for your wedding day, and it’s less than $10!
11. Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette
This eyeshadow palette has all of the neutral matte shades you could ask for, and the color payoff is fantastic. The formula is super blendable, and the colors included are great for a soft glam eye look.
12. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner
This eyeliner does not budge at all. The precise tip is also perfect for creating any size wing you desire to suit your look.
13. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel
This brow gel pairs well with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz (mentioned below) and holds your brow hairs in place all day! For a drugstore alternative, check out the NYX Brow Gel for under $8.
14. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
I’ve been using this brow pencil since middle school; that’s how well I know and love this product! It has a thin, rounded tip to create realistic strokes that mimic your natural brow hairs.
15. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat – Supersize Me and Hot Gossip
Charlotte Tilbury’s lip liners are truly unmatched and there are no other drugstore or luxury lip liners that compare. They glide on your lips so smoothly and truly stay put all day. The shades Supersize Me and Hot Gossip were the ones I used for creating a mauve-red lip look.
16. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Lipstick – Wedding Belles
I’m not going to lie, the name of the shade is what first caught my eye for this lipstick. I mean, Wedding Belles? How could I not try this? As soon as I put it on my lips with the aforementioned liners, I knew that I’d found the perfect lip combo. All of these shades created my ideal lip color, and they did not budge after a 14-hour long day – even after eating!
17. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
This is a gorgeous finishing powder to top off your makeup. I use this every time I know I’ll be taking photos because it makes your makeup look naturally luminous!
18. Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
Another classic loved by professional makeup artists and beauty gurus alike, the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder is known for its longevity and reliability. What more could you ask for in a makeup product on your wedding day? It absorbs oil and sets your makeup for up to 16 hours of wear.
19. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
After your powders, make sure to add a setting spray to really ensure that your makeup doesn’t go anywhere. Urban Decay’s setting spray has a patented Temperature Control Technology, which lowers the temperature of your makeup to lock your look in place.
